FOUNDER/DIRECTOR MESSAGE

In a nation, as intriguing and diverse as Afghanistan, the daily life of its citizens is far different, difficult and albeit more challenging than that led by their counterparts in other nations. Indeed, Afghans are undergoing a vast change in all spheres of their daily life, hunger, poverty, illiteracy, lack of access to health care, lack of access to higher education, unemployment, migration so on and so far with the root cause of the devastating effects of wars, insurgencies, terrorism, and radicalization for nearly half a century.

We witness the resolve to rise from the dust like the phoenix and put the fallen pieces back into place to bring about a positive change in society. As history has witnessed, two heads are better than one, and in this process of redefining Afghan society, a dozen hands are better than a pair.

It is in this context that we felt the need and desire to stand by our fellow citizens especially the vulnerable and marginalized men, women and children and take upon this task of nation rebuilding with clear vision, mission, and values along with our team at this organization.

It is an uphill climb that is both tedious and challenging but our firm resolve coupled with our unyielding efforts and dedication has given us the impetus to move ahead. Our commitment is to create HHWO for those people specially the most vulnerable and marginalized groups who are victimized or have been affected by disasters, violence, and conflicts within the country, providing them relief and recovery options in many aspects. This will not be possible but by our hard work and engaging more and more people from across the country and around the globe in our approach/campaign.

I feel it is time to show the non-destructive power of the pen. In accordance with Bulwer- Lytton’s famous quote, my team members and I wish to implement the strength of the pen by setting up a mission to support, educate and empower the Afghan people and strive for improvements in their lives.

We; therefore, extend our hands to those who would like to hold it and move forward to support the cause and changing for the better of through focusing on vulnerable groups’ education, health, social and economic empowerment, protection, and provision of emergency assistance to the needy when required.

Sincerely,

Qeyamuddin Bahram
