
Under Strengthening Health, and Economic Resilience of Families (Takhar and Badakhshan) Project, HHWO formed a team of eight female professional Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Counsellors, two female trainers and two male supervisors to provide MHPSS services to around 5000 women and girls in the target health facilities of the provinces; Takhar – Wursaj and Namak Aab districts as well as Badakhshan Jurm and Yumgan districts).
To further equip the Counselors with the best MHPSS practices, skills, and knowledge, HHWO convened a 12 day โMental Health and Psychosocial Support Professional Refresher Trainingโ starting from 5th to 13th April, 2025. All the eight participants, received technical training on psychosocial health; identifying mental health issues, GBV survivorsโ needs, counseling best practices and skills along with the orientation of some general topics like HHWOโs mandate, scope of the project, PSEAH, and gender awareness.
With the completion of the capacity building training, we are one step closer to making a real difference in the lives of local families.
