HHWO continues to advance the implementation of the EVAW Project in Takhar and Badakhshan provinces. During June 2026, a total of 742 women and girls were assessed to identify eligible participants for the project’s livelihood support interventions.
Based on the assessment findings, 180 women and girls (90 in Takhar and 90 in Badakhshan) will be selected to participate in skills development training programmers and receive business assets and tools to establish and strengthen their income-generating activities.
The intervention aims to enhance the economic empowerment and resilience of women and girls through sustainable livelihood opportunities. Skills development training and asset distribution are planned for July–August 2026, contributing to improved economic opportunities and strengthened community-based livelihoods in the target areas.
