Helping Hands for Women Organization (HHWO), with the support of UN Women through the EVAW Project, is strengthening the well-being and resilience of women and girls in Takhar and Badakhshan.

Through 12 community service points, HHWO has delivered 9,786 Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) services, including 6,482 individual and 3,304 group counselling sessions, while 24,682 people have been reached through health awareness activities.

In addition, 11,630 women, men, girls, and boys participated in community dialogue sessions promoting the dignity and positive role of women in society, guided by Islamic values and principles.

To advance women’s economic empowerment, 180 vulnerable women (90 in each province) completed vocational skills training and will receive business start-up toolkits, enabling them to launch home-based businesses and strengthen their livelihoods.
