HHWO is proud to advance the EVAW Project, delivering essential support and empowering communities across Takhar and Badakhshan provinces.
In April, hundreds of women and girls accessed critical services. In Takhar, 397 individuals received individual counseling, 171 participated in group sessions, and 1,593 benefited from health awareness activities. In Badakhshan, 446 individuals accessed individual counseling, 232 joined group sessions, and 1,764 were reached through awareness initiatives.
Looking ahead, socio-economic assessments are underway in both provinces to identify 180 women (90 per province) from among 700 women and girls. Selected participants will receive life skills training, income generation support, and assistance to establish small and medium businesses fostering long-term resilience and self-reliance.
