Family is the foundation of human society. It connects us to our past and builds a path to the future. Families also teach us resilience, the strength to face challenges and move forward together.
The United Nations General Assembly declared May 15 as World Family Day in Resolution No. 237/47, approved on September 20, 1993. This day is celebrated every year around the world to raise awareness about family-related issues and to support strong, healthy families in every society.
Helping Hands for Women Organization (HHWO) supports this goal by promoting family values, building economic strength within families, and empowering women. HHWO believes that strong, resilient families, especially when women are supported, can create better futures for everyone.
“Strong families build strong communities, and resilient women shape a better world.”
